Our experience with Creative Habitats has been great. Our lawn is coming around with your help and the Irrigation. Speaking of the irrigation, our garden really did well last year since the irrigation now covers the garden." J.B.

Here is a description of some of the principles we try to hold to on irrigation:

1) Use heavy duty pipe. In photo one you can see the difference between thinner 'irrigation' pipe and what we use.
2) Keep valves grouped so that future maintenance will be as efficient as possible. It is very difficult to fix systems where the valves are spread out in the yard because after several years the smaller boxes get covered up. It requires more wire to control the valves which gives greater opportunity for failure should the wire get cut or struck by lightning.
3) Try to put valves in a bed and not in the middle of the yard. This is purely aesthetic. It just looks messy when there are a bunch of boxes in the turf.
4) Space heads a little closer together so that if there is a drop in pressure the system will still perform well.
