More than just a pretty landscape...
We obviously strive to make the most attractive landscape possible, but a landscape can be designed to not only be beautiful but also ecologically responsible. Ecological elements of a well designed landscape include an emphasis on trees - these are the largest "air cleaning machines." They provide greater habitat for wildlife and can be strategically placed to shade your home which reduces energy consumption. We also put a heavy emphasis on shrubs and ground cover because once they are established they do not need nearly as much water, chemicals, or maintenance as sod. Even the perennials we plant promote nature by offering food for butterflies and hummingbirds. Essentially our goal is to have your landscape do as much for nature as the woods that were torn down to build your home.
